Mahope O Ke Kula Ke Aʻo Mau Ana
Since 2013, the goal of the Mahope O Ke Kula Ke A‘o Mau Ana (A continuation of learning after school) program has been to inspire students and their facilitators from Native Hawaiian communities to achieve academic success in math and science through the experience of Hawaiian cultural values and practices with hands-on learning during and after the school year, intersession and summer breaks.
In-school supporting middle school students and teachers through culture-based science and math education, curriculum training, classroom instruction, tutoring, and mentoring.
After-school hands-on STEM and Hawaiian cultural programs that strengthen student learning and support Common Core Mathematics and Next Generation Science Standards.
Intersession programs that integrate math, science, and Hawaiian cultural practices to provide meaningful, hands-on STEM learning experiences.
